Alcohol & Anxiety - Plus 10 tips for success in sobriety

Matt Adams is the Chief Executive Officer for Havas Media Group UK&I . Matt’s career is unique as it spans both the media owner and agency landscape, connected by a passion for digital and for creating an equal, supportive workplace.

Having stopped drinking 1 January 2019, Matt wrote an article in July for Campaign titled “Advertising’s alcohol dilemma” where he received an overwhelming response from readers who are employed in an industry known for its work hard, play hard culture.

Matt chats to Ruth Cooper-Dickson about his biggest learnings from his sober curious journey, the rare insights this has given him as a leader supporting his business to become more inclusive and how leaders can create higher mental wealth in teams, by encouraging a mindful drinking culture.
